Don’t miss a visit to Fiesole, the joyous little town of Etruscan origins just 5.5 miles (9 kms) from Florence and 5 miles (8 kms) from Poggiopiano. Nestled on the eastern hills of Florence that lends an incomparable panorama, Fiesole is considered by locals the “balcony” over Florence.

Music, dance and theatre shows come together for the summer festival “Estate Fiesolana” that takes place in the open air at the Roman Theatre, where you can watch the show sitting on the original stones dating back to the Roman age.
