Where are we

Fattoria di Poggiopiano and Agriturismo Poggiopiano are located in Girone, a borough of Fiesole municipality, just 7 kms from the historic centre of Florence and 6 kms away from the highway A1 (Bologna-Roma) exit Firenze Sud. Poggiopiano is just a few steps away from the historic centre of Florence and situated at the crossroads of the main routes that connect the most important art cities in our Region: Siena, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano… can be reached in 45-60 minutes by car but also by public transport from Florence train station.

To reach the Agriturismo

From the village Girone, follow Via dei Bassi for about 600 meters until n.7, where the Agriturismo and the Reception are. The reception is open for the check-in from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The tasting room is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm from March to September.

To reach the Fattoria

From the village Girone, follow Via dei Bassi for about 1 km passing the Agriturismo, and reach n.13. The cellar is open by appointment.

By car

From Firenze Sud exit of the highway A1 (Milano-Roma), at the traffic light at the end of the link road, turn right direction Forlì. Reach the town of Girone driving for 3 kms on route SS67. At the only traffic light of the village, turn left under the railway’s bridge and then turn right in Via San Jacopo al Girone. At the end of the street, that runs along the railway, turn left in Via dei Bassi.

By Public Transportation

The Farm is easily reachable by public transportation as well:

By taxi: book a taxi at +39 055 4242 or +39 055 4390 specifying municipality (Fiesole) and complete address.
From Florence “Peretola” Airport: take the tramway or a taxi to Florence Central Railway Station “Santa Maria Novella”.
By bus from Florence Central Railway Station “Santa Maria Novella”: urban bus direction “Il Girone”. From the main square of Girone, cross the road at the traffic light, passing under the railway bridge. Turn right on San Jacopo al Girone street and then turn left in Via dei bassi street. Follow the street along stone walls, olive groves, vineyards for about 600 meters to reach the Agriturismo or 1 km to reach the Fattoria.

Via dei Bassi is paved, but during the night there is no lighting. Due to this reason, we suggest to get a car, scooter or electric bike to those who don’t like walking or simply are not used to.
