The feminine essence of Poggiopiano

March 8th, 2025 | Often when we think of a woman we think of a person who never stops, who ‘can’t keep quiet and still’ and it is indeed true, many women are like that (or certainly at least the women of Poggiopiano!). We are this way not only because we cannot do otherwise, but because our being and working is an act of continuous creation and transformation. Often when we talk about women we also talk about sacrifice, but in this article we are not talking about that, but about the power of choosing to be, every day, what we want to be, without giving in to convention. This is the feminine essence of Poggiopiano!

Over the years, work for a woman is not just earning a living: it is a declaration of independence, competence and authority, which belongs to her not because it is granted to her, but because she deserves it every day, with the commitment and passion she puts into what she does.

[Yes, here women also get their hands dirty and, hear hear, they drive the tractor!]

THE WOMEN OF POGGIOPIANO

Over the years, Poggiopiano has brought out its feminine side, highlighting the work of its women and their great contribution, even in an industry that is (apparently) purely male.
[No, we are not forgetting the boys, who undoubtedly play a fundamental role: take a look HERE to see the full team!]

Lili, caring and always at work, takes care of cleanliness and order, and stops at nothing: if there is work to be done in the warehouse or in the vineyard, she runs to change her shoes and goes to make her contribution, which never goes unnoticed;

Marita, tireless in preparing the flats for guests at the weekend, says that when she’s working at Poggiopiano it’s as if she’s on holiday;

Elena, arriving first at the Agriturismo in the morning, awakens our Guests with the smell of coffee and freshly baked cakes: with her extreme sweetness and care she prepares breakfast every morning at the Agriturismo, making Guests feel at home;

Cristina, with her radiant smile and charisma welcomes Guests to the Agriturismo for stays and tastings; her passion for wine and her long experience in the trade make her irreplaceable;

Elisabetta, has seen the company born and grow alongside her husband (and founder) Mauro Galardi. Determined and resolute, nothing escapes her control and she works to offer the best service to her Guests;

Martina, a graduate oenologist, has always supported the family business and from 2025 has officially taken over the reins, hitherto in the hands of her father Mauro. This change will bring unique challenges, but perseverance and tenacity are certainly not unknown…

WOMEN’S DAY EVERY DAY

Cultural and social stereotypes and barriers still exist in the world, but not at Poggiopiano!

On this special day, we want to highlight how difficulties can be transformed into opportunities for empowerment, leading not only to professional growth, but also to social change, emphasising equality, diversity and inclusion, as happens here at Poggiopiano every day.
